This system is one of our favourites because it joins together seven football results into an accumulator but builds in some safety if you get a couple of wrong picks. In fact, if you chose teams with odds of evens or higher, then seven correct results will give you at least six and a half times your stake, six correct results will give you nearly four times your stake, you’ll double your money with five correct predictions and effectively get your money back if you get four correct – pretty good huh? The plan works on arranging a collection of seven Yankee bets across your seven selections. A Yankee bet is effectively a collection of bets placed on four outcomes (one accumulator, four trebles and six doubles). By carefully selecting which four of our seven games each Yankee is placed on, we can give ourselves a great level of insurance without having too many bets.
If you label your seven selection from A through to F then the seven Yankees should correspond to ABCF, ABDE, ACEG, ADFG, BCDG, BEFG and CDEF.
Ordinarily with accumulators you want to concentrate on the results you feel you will definitely be successful - one incorrect choice ruins the bet after all. With this system however there are a number of approaches you can take because of the level of insurance included:
1. You could select really short favourite, 1.5 or less, thereby giving you a far higher chance of getting all seven correct (although please don't make the assumption that smaller odds is a guarantee of a successful outcome); 2. You could concentrate on seven selections priced at around 1.7 to 2.3, a level we have found strikes the balance between chances of success and maximising your return; 3. You could concentrate on a four really strong favourites and then add in three outside bets hoping to get your bankers and then use the outsiders to push your returns in to the stratosphere; 4. Finally, you could go really crazy and just pick seven draws, typically the highest odds available on a given match giving you the chance to win 45 x your stake if you get all seven and nearly three times your stake with just three winners.
You could also go out on a limb and move away from the win market and choose the 'Both Teams to Score', 'To Score at Any Time' or 'Anytime Goal-Scorer' markets if you prefer, this brings significant additional risk but can offer you a different approach to combining seven results.
