Correct score betting is a very simple concept – you’re predicting the final score of the match. This is obviously very difficult but not impossible as you’ll see from the table on the right In the premier league, the vast majority of games finish with one of just 25 scorelines. Even better, over half of them finish with one of just six scorelines; 00, 01, 10, 11, 20 and 21.
The bookmakers define the odds of each score based on how well they believe the team will perform as a whole. Therefore, if they believe that a team should be priced at 1.67 to win, they will automatically know the odds they should offer for correct scores. This obviously leaves them in a vulnerable position because if a/they’ve got the wrong price on the team or b/the correlation between expected performance and final scoreline is inaccurate, you have a great chance of a finding a useful bet.
